The Law Society of Western Australia recognises that legal professionals work tirelessly, often with long hours, to achieve the best outcomes for their clients. Many take on extra work pro bono to help those in the community who may not otherwise be able to afford legal advice.
Taking time to recognise the difference lawyers make and the contribution they make to the community is very rewarding and important for the legal community. The Law Society recognises worthy members through its annual Lawyer of the Year Awards and the Society’s Life Member awards.
2025 Lawyer of the Year Awards
We are incredibly excited to launch our 2025 Lawyer of the Year Awards – returning bigger and better than ever this year.
This year, we have expanded the categories for nomination, with a total of six awards now up for grabs.
We will be crowning a WA Emerging Lawyer of the Year, WA Legal Innovation of the Year, WA Regional Practitioner of the Year, WA In-House Counsel of the Year, WA Government Lawyer of the Year, and WA Lawyer of the Year.
Nominations are now open and close at 5pm on Monday, 18 August 2025.
