Referral Service

Assistance with Complaints to the Legal Practice Board

The Western Australian Bar Association (WABA) Referral Service was established by the WABA to provide advice to practitioners who are the subject of complaint to the Legal Practice Board (LPB) and the State Administrative Tribunal.

Is it free?

The WABA maintains a register of barristers who are prepared to provide initial advice at no cost. The barrister has discretion to determine the scope of assistance provided for free.

If a fee arrangement is put in place, this is to be discussed and agreed upon by the barrister and practitioner.

Who can access the service?

The Referral Service is available to all members of the profession. You do not need to be a Law Society member to use the Referral Service.

How do I access the service?

To access the Referral Service, contact the WABA on 9220 0477.
