The Law Society of Western Australia congratulates Supreme Court Justice Janine Pritchard, who has been appointed President of the State Administrative Tribunal (SAT) for a five-year term, beginning on 4 June 2019.
Law Society President Greg McIntyre SC said, “On behalf of the WA legal profession and members of the Law Society, I wholeheartedly congratulate Justice Pritchard on this appointment. Justice Pritchard is the first woman to serve as President of the SAT since its founding 14 years ago, making this a particularly noteworthy and commendable appointment.
“Justice Pritchard is a valued member of the Law Society, having first joined in 1994. Her Honour has made a significant contribution to the Law Society’s Continuing Professional Development programme, sharing her knowledge and experience with fellow practitioners.
“Justice Pritchard has served as a Judge of the Supreme Court of Western Australia since 2010, and I have no doubt that Her Honour will continue to serve our community in this new role with characteristic skill, sound judgment and impartiality.”
