Nominations for election to the 2024 Law Society Council closed on Tuesday, 10 October 2023.
Congratulations once again to Paula Wilkinson who was declared to be elected as President, Gary Mack and Judy McLean who were declared elected as the two Vice Presidents on the 2024 Council, and Michael Ryan who was declared elected in the Country Member position.
Voting will open on Wednesday, 25 October 2023. Members eligible to vote will receive an email ballot provided by CorpVote, an independent voting and election service provider. Members will be asked to elect six Ordinary Members (four for a two-year term and two for a one-year term) and three Junior Members (for a one-year term). Ballots will close at 15.00 AWST on Wednesday, 8 November 2023.
The Council plays a vital role as the Law Society’s governing body. Members of the Council help support the strategic direction of the Law Society and have the opportunity to advocate on the important issues affecting the legal profession and the wider community. This is your chance to have a say and make your vote count!
