The Wills and Estates Accreditation Advisory Sub-Committee advises the Law Society’s Accreditation Committee on the Wills and Estates Specialist Accreditation Program including with respect to the assessment procedures and the continuing professional development required by Wills and Estates Accredited Specialists.
The Committee participates in the Wills and Estates Specialist Accreditation National Steering Committee. The Steering Committee ensures a national approach to the specialist accreditation programs around the country. This includes reviewing and settling the assessment tasks and marking guides for assessment.
The Committee ensures that national assessments are adapted for Western Australian law and has provided in depth support for the first year of the accredited specialist program which was piloted in 2025.
