Technology and Law

The Technology and Law Committee provides a forum for practitioners with expertise in technology, privacy, data protection and intellectual property to consider law reform and government policy matters.

The Committee welcomes opportunities to assist the Law Society to inform practitioners and the public on matters relating to intellectual property and technology law, particularly given the rapidly developing digital economy of the modern age. The Committee has a keen interest in artificial intelligence (AI) and the challenges, and opportunities, that AI and other technologies can bring to legal practice and to the law more generally.
