Insolvency & Restructuring

The Insolvency and Restructuring Committee is the Western Australian sub-committee of the Law Council of Australia Business Law Section’s Insolvency and Restructuring Committee (the LCA IRC).

The LCA IRC is the peak legal body at the federal level for insolvency and restructuring and its members are many of Australia’s most respected and senior insolvency and restructuring lawyers.

The LCA IRC liaises with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC), the Australian Financial Security Authority (AFSA) and the Australian Restructuring Insolvency & Turnaround Association (ARITA), and the Committee is ably assisted by representatives of ASIC, AFSA and ARITA who regularly attend meetings and provide invaluable insights.

The LCA IRC also works with the other members of the Law Council’s sub-committee in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney.
