Criminal Law

The Criminal Law Committee considers law reform initiatives and government policy relating to criminal law and is well balanced with prosecutors, defence lawyers, barristers, sole practitioners and lawyers from community legal services and Legal Aid of Western Australia.

The Committee continues to monitor youth justice issues as well as the mandatory sentencing provisions under the burglary offences of the Criminal Code for unjust outcomes for offenders.
