This important seminar will look at two issues faced by those from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Backgrounds: Discrimination and Visa Status.
In addressing discrimination, our presenters will consider avenues for pursing claims for discrimination and share new resources available through Law Access, including a resource on proceedings in the Equal Opportunity Commission.
Visa status issues will look at ways in which someone’s visa status may impact their legal position in other areas of law. It was also include resources for lawyers seeking information on implications for their clients.
Take the opportunity to ask questions and get a greater understanding of important challenges faced by out CALD community in Western Australia.
